Valentine’s Goodie Bags

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.  It is the day to celebrate love and affection with flowers, cards, jewelry, and candy!  And look what I’m making for the day….

These pink on pink fabric drawstring bags can be filled with candy and other goodies for that special person.  They are fully lined complete with finished seams.  The drawstrings are made with coordinating fabric.  You’ll be seeing more of these bags in different sizes as they also make good gift bags, wine bags, shoe bags, water bags, and more…

I made the tag from a digi stamp, Puppy Love, designed by Michelle Perkett.  And, of course, it was colored with Copic Markers.

Blue Birds

It’s time for a post again, albeit a very short one!

A few weeks ago I was playing with my Copic Markers and the “Tail Feathers” stamp set from The Angel Company.  These birdies are so adorable and just beg to be stamped and colored!  I’m still learning how to use these addictive Copics so there is a lots of room for improvement.  That being said, here is one of the images that I completed:

Want to see more Blue Birds?  Well, here’s an ETSY Treasury full of them….

More Cats and Dogs

And here is a continuation of the Cat and Dog cards from the PaperWings Challenge!  A big thank you to those participating!

First, my latest dog card from the Bow Chica Bow Wow set!  The image is colored using copics and is layered using the Angelee Paper Collection.  The popped up wings are highlighted with a clear glitter pen and the image is colored with copics, of course!

Julie of Julie’s Stamp Pad made two cards for the challenge.  The first card is from our new Fibi & Lilly stamp set.  If you love cats and kittens, you’ll absolutely love this stamp set!  And Julie’s second card is from the new Kitty Kitty Kitty set – another must have set for cat and kitten lovers!

Carol of Stampin Hot in Arizona also used the new Kitty Kitty Kitty stamp set for the card she made for the challenge!  You’ll also see a card made with a new dog set on her blog so be sure to check it out.

And the last, but certainly not least, card for the challenge is from Mary who hails from Montana.  This kitty is from a  set called Cupcake Cuties!

I hope you enjoyed this edition of Cats and Dogs!

Sneak Peak Blog Hop

It’s that time again.  Time for another Paperwings Blog Hop!  And time for a new catalog from The Angel Company! Before I show you the cards for the hop I want to thank Shirley H, not only for hosting the Blog Hop, but for also sending me stamped images of some of the new stamps.  You won’t be able to order these until after the catalog is released next week (contact me at stamp2stamp2@yahoo.com if you want to purchase a new catalog).  However,  Shirley took advantage of a special stamp bundle purchase for TAC demonstrators and sent myself and others images so we could participate in the hop.  Thanks Shirley!

The first card I made is a clean, simple layout.  The lady and wings were colored with copics.

The next two cards are 3×3 gift/thank you cards.  I use this size frequently to tuck a note of thanks into packages that I send to my ETSY customers!   The patterned paper for both are from the More Mimi Collection.  I’ve also used the Clear Jelly Glitter Pen to add a bit of sparkle to the cards!

Get Well Card

Today I have a Get Well card to share with you.  This Bitty Bug stamp set is one of my favorites to use on cards for those feeling a bit (or a lot) under the weather!  And I bummed out that it is now going to be retired.  That’s good news for you though as you can now purchase it for 25% off.

The cardstock and designer paper is from the Toodle Loo paper collection.  Copics were used to color the image.  And the image was stamped and matted on die cuts from Nestabilities Large Labels.

Enjoy!

Today’s Abundance
-April showers, we could use some more!
-Chirping birds
-Boxes of stuff for my niece’s garage sale
-Reusable Snack Bags – love them (check my ETSY store)
-My red tulips – they are in full bloom

Popup Notecards

Here is a new twist on Popup Cards – popup 3 x 3 notecards!  The popup brace is made just like you make them for A2 cards but on a smaller scale!

I first stamped “Happy Easter” from Trendy Greetings on a circle and then layered it on 2 layers of scalloped circles.  The top circle also has a gem and Turquoise Scrappers Floss!

Then I used Joy of Easter stamp set for the popups in the 3×3 notecards.  Here are a couple of my favorites:  the lamb and the chick in the jar!

Notice that I added the coordinating Catelynne designer paper to the inside of the white cardstock to better “pop” the pop-up !

I used our Copic Markers for the coloring!  I continue to fall in love with how well they color and blend!  I still have a long ways to go in being proficient with them, but it’s a start!

March Blog Hop – Easter

What a wonderful today!  The sun was out – a welcome site after a week of rain and grey skies.  It was warm – well into the 50’s!  Spring is indeed on its way!  There is only a hint of the snowy winter that we have had – just a bit of snow left in protected areas.  And best of all, I got to spend the day with my dear sister!

It is time once again for another blog hop with friends and fellow Angel Company demonstrators.  The theme for this months blog hop is Easter.

I created another gatefold card using the Joy of Easter stamp, Copics, and the Catelynne paper collection from The Angel Company.  The Joy of Easter stamp set is certainly one of my favorites these days!

And now, take a look at the other creations.  They all should be available after 8:00 pm (Central Time) on Sunday, March 14!  Have fun…
