What Happened to the Brownies?

This is a story about brownies from beginning to end!

First, you need a brownie mix!  Now in the good ole days I would have done this from scratch.  But, as you will see a mix brings with it new creative opportunities (and a lot less work for me)!  Follow the directions on the brownie package, put in the oven to bake, and start prepping for the “new creative opportunity.”  And what do you need for this?  Well, you need the brownie box, a paper cutter, some paper, a bind-it-all, some o-rings, and  wire snips.  On your paper cutter, cut the brownie chipboard box.  You will need 2 pieces the same size – one from the front of the box and one from the back.  Then cut your paper (you can use printer paper, cardstock, lined paper, unlined paper – the possibilities are endless).  I cut 50 pieces of paper 1/2 inch smaller on all sides than the chipboard itself.

You’re going to want to keep an eye on your brownies during this process.  It is all too easy to dive deep into this “new creative opportunity” and forget about the brownies, so do remember to check on them now and again!  Here are the baked brownies, fresh from the oven:

While your brownies are cooling off, turn your attention back to the cut chipboard and paper!  Now use the Bind-It-All and the O-Rings to make a neat, whimsical memo pad!

These fun memo pads can be made from all sorts of chipboard boxes.  Use them for your shopping and grocery lists, to leave messages, to sketch or journal in.  Carry a smaller one in your purse to make notes in while out and about.   Kids love them because the covers are delightful and different!  The possibilities are endless, as are the shapes and sizes that you can create!

Here is the link to Zutter’s site where they have basic information on how to use the Bind-It-All:  http://www.zutterzisters.com/Tips.html There are numerous tutorials and project ideas on the internet – just search on Bind-It-All and you will have a long list of links to peruse through.

Hope you enjoyed this story of brownies!  Oh, and what happened to the brownies in the end?  Well, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Rita
